Why would Forestry Technicians care about identifying animals?

​

*Hint- These animals live in the same place we work!

The forest technicians at Fleming will introduce students to some basic techniques of forest navigation. The students will learn how to follow an azimuth using a compass and learn their "pacing-factor" so that they can measure distance without the need for cumbersome forest measurement tools. The groups will then conduct fun outdoor-activities based on these concepts.
